°Wild and desperate style music band°

Actually - it's not exact "wild and desperate" music. Perhaps, it's not "wild and desperate" music at all. Band from USA Starving Weirdos claims that they play music together more, more than 10 years. To tell the truth, their band-site haven't been refreshed since 2009. So, who knows, maybe, the band do not plays now.

But it's not the point.
The piont is their uncredible cool sound.

°DR(DR)ONE°

Here is very interesting band from France DR(DR)ONE. Guys made amazing sounds with electronics, sax, guitar and drums. I think, this is perfect example, when four men on one wave made dynamic and diverse drone-music. You can see, their live-show is really impressive:

°Ilitch - Un Jour Come Tant d'antes°

Tracklist Samples
1 Part 1 - Morning dream
2 Part 2 - Travail-Famille-Patrie
3 Part 3 - Depressive evening
4 Part 4 - Marche ou crève
5 Part 5 - But nothing happen
6 Helena Rodriguez
This is an unreleased album from 1974 by French krautrock band Ilitch which is pretty droning. A brilliant mix of Krauty space groans and experimentalism (see also Conrad Schnitzler and Ash Ra Temple, etc) and the progressive electronics of Igor Wakhevitch.
Like other 1970s European electronic rock artists from Heldon to Conrad Schnitzer, Ilitch owes more to the avant-garde experiments of Stockhausen and Xenakis than to the rock and roll of Chuck Berry or even the Beatles. Ilitch came out of France, was the work of mostly one person, Thierry Müller, using unconventional guitars as well as keyboards and other electronics to create strange textures and sounds. Müller was a photographer and graphic artist from Paris who started making recordings in the early 1970s using prepared guitars, harmonium, and even using the tape recorder as another instrument.

°Live in ExLibris°

Here is our live set in ExLibris cafe. As always, when we play without Dima, we do it in a silent drone-ambient sound. Thanks to promoter Maria, we had exellent video for a show and cool experience.

°We Have No Zen review°

"Musically Wrist people insisted that they were playing drone, and their first release confirms it — as we may hear droning bass, definitely droning didjeridoo, sax&guitar drones.. do the drums drone there also? Worth checking."

°Rhys Chatham - "Outdoor Spell" 2011°

Ссылка

A new record by Rhys Chatham who is more famous for his minimalistic and sweeping "Guitar Trio" and "Crimson Grail" concert for 400 guitars, but here explores unusual drones and noises created with trumpet and delay pedals. It sound really like a rare thing does now in realm of avantgarde or drone music.

Here is one track to feel the taste of this outstanding work

°Cuong Vu°

"Cuong Vu is widely recognized by jazz critics as a leader of a generation of innovative musicians. A truly unique musical voice, Cuong has lent his trumpet playing talents to a wide range of artists including Pat Metheny, Laurie Anderson, David Bowie, Dave Douglas, Myra Melford, Cibo Matto, and Mitchell Froom.
As a youngster, Cuong's intense dedication and love for music led him to a full scholarship at the New England Conservatory of Music where he received his Bachelor of Music in Jazz studies with a ditinction in performance. Transitioning from his studies in Boston, he moved to New York in 1994 and began his career actively leading various groups while touring extensively throughout the world. As a leader, Cuong has released five recordings, each making critics’ lists of the 10 best recordings of their respective years. Each record displays how he has carved out a distinctive sonic territory on the trumpet, blurring all stylistic borders while developing his own compositional aesthetic."

°Noir Jazz°

Searching in internet for "doomjazz" definition, i've found interesting term "noir jazz". Wikipedia doesn't know such a genre. But according to Last.fm noir jazz is a rare form contempotary live experimental music, which has jazz forms with very slow tempo as its basis. Noir jazz is a music with no solo instrument. Often its sound is based on rhythm section with sax tube and some electronics. All the forms of noir fazz express depth of sadness, nightmare, loneliness, nostalgie, calm and pacification. The brightest bands are Bohren & der Club of Gore, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation, but the birth could occur much earlier, maybe since Miles Davis.

°Live in OGI°

This live set was played in Moscow club OGI in August 2010. OGI is fucking terrible place with chanson on week-ends and insolent waiters. There was very hot weather in Moscow and everywhere was smoke from burning forests near the city. Thirstly we were planning our set as a deep drone-ambient trip. But perhaps because of wheather and smoke, after all it sounds more like drum and bass.

°Movie°

This is part of movie "Do pivnice" by Jan Švankmajer . We've got our audio record from show in DOM, where we played as support band for Mount Fuji Doom Jazz Corporation. We've decided, that one track from this set will be a cool soundtrack for this movie. We've played it with one of the most interesting female-vocalists on the scene Kira Lao. Actually the sound isn't good and balanced, but atmosphere is ok)

and the show was really amazing
